I have the pleasure of spending some time at the courthouse downtown for work and I am so excited every time. It is breathtaking! If you have not been I really recommend taking a tour, they are about one and a half hour long and well worth it. Unfortunately you have to find a group of 15 friends to join you.. that’s the minimum for them to run a tour.
The courthouse is names after the former Colorado Gov. Ralph L. Carr, a lawyer and Republican politician who served as governor from 1939 to 1943. Carr spoke out against the forced relocation of Japanese-Americans during World War II and destroyed his political career doing so.
